✠ PROCLAMATION OF FOUNDING ✠
Of the Uí Bhrolcháin Clan Association
Issued Under the Hand and Seal of the Sovereign Prince
Imperial & Royal House of Bradley–Ua Bhrolcháin
✠ I. Preamble
By the hereditary rights of the Cenél nEógain, by the ancient sovereignty of the Ua Bhrolcháin princely line, and by the federated lineage preserved within the Imperial and Royal House of Bradley, We, H.I.R.H. Carl Raymond Bradley, Sovereign Prince and Head of the Name and Arms, do hereby proclaim the formal establishment of the Uí Bhrolcháin Clan Association.
This act is undertaken in accordance with:
- Gaelic sovereign custom
- the immemorial law of blood (jus sanguinis)
- the ceremonial sovereignty of non‑reigning dynastic houses
- the rights affirmed in the Constitution of the Imperial & Royal House of Bradley
and stands as a restoration of the ancient kinship bonds of the Uí Bhrolcháin kindred.
✠ II. Declaration of Founding
Let it be known throughout Ireland, the diaspora, and all lands where the descendants of our noble kindred dwell, that:
The Uí Bhrolcháin Clan Association is hereby founded as the cultural, genealogical, and ceremonial body of the historic Uí Bhrolcháin lineage.
It shall exist:
- to preserve the memory of our ancestors
- to unite the scattered branches of the clan
- to maintain the traditions, rites, and symbols of our Gaelic heritage
- to uphold the dignity of the Ua Bhrolcháin name
and to serve as the recognized gathering of all who descend from, or honour, this ancient house.
✠ III. Authority of Foundation
This Association is founded under the sovereign ceremonial authority vested in the Sovereign Prince by:
the Fons Honorum, the Ius Majestatis, and the Ius Nominis et Arma, as codified in the Constitution of the Imperial & Royal House of Bradley–Ua Bhrolcháin.
The House, as the senior surviving line of the Uí Bhrolcháin heritage, exercises the right to:
- restore the clan in its cultural form
- appoint its leadership
- maintain its genealogical and heraldic records
- preserve its rites and customs
in accordance with Gaelic tradition and dynastic precedent.
✠ IV. Recognition of the Sovereign Prince
By this Proclamation, it is affirmed that:
H.I.R.H. Carl Raymond Bradley
Sovereign Prince of the Imperial & Royal House of Bradley–Ua Bhrolcháin
is recognized as:
✠ Ceann Fine Uí Bhrolcháin
Head of the Name and Chief of the Clan
until such time as the derbfine of the Clan, duly constituted, confirms or revises the succession according to Gaelic custom.
This recognition reflects:
- the seniority of lineage
- the federated heritage of the House
- the genealogical continuity preserved in the Dynastic Codex
- the ceremonial sovereignty affirmed in the House’s Constitution
and is proclaimed for the unity and dignity of the Clan.
✠ V. Structure and Governance
The Uí Bhrolcháin Clan Association shall consist of:
- The Ceann Fine — Head of the Name
- The Derbfine — Council of Senior Kin
- The Clan Assembly — Members of the wider kindred
- Heraldic and Genealogical Officers — appointed by the Ceann Fine
- Cultural and Ceremonial Officers — appointed as needed
The Association shall maintain:
- a Clan Register
- a genealogical archive
- heraldic records
- cultural programs
- rites and ceremonies of the Clan
All in harmony with Gaelic tradition and the statutes of the Imperial & Royal House.
✠ VI. Relationship to the Imperial & Royal House
The Uí Bhrolcháin Clan Association is hereby established as:
The official cultural and genealogical arm of the Imperial & Royal House of Bradley–Ua Bhrolcháin.
It remains:
- autonomous in cultural matters
- united in lineage
- bound by shared heritage
- connected through the Ceann Fine
and recognized as a foundational pillar of the House’s Gaelic identity.
✠ VII. Mission and Purpose
The mission of the Clan Association shall be:
- to preserve the history of the Uí Bhrolcháin
- to unite descendants worldwide
- to promote Gaelic culture, language, and tradition
- to honour the ecclesiastical and princely legacy of the Clan
- to support charitable works in the spirit of the Prince Bradley Foundation
- to maintain the dignity of the Clan’s name and arms
and to ensure that the heritage entrusted to us endures for generations to come.
✠ VIII. Proclamation
Therefore, by Our Hand and Seal, We proclaim:
The Uí Bhrolcháin Clan Association is founded, established, and constituted
as of this day, under the sovereign ceremonial authority of the House.
Let this Proclamation be entered into:
- the Dynastic Codex
- the Royal Register
- the Heraldic Rolls
- and the public record of the Imperial & Royal House of Bradley–Ua Bhrolcháin.
✠ IX. Closing Formula
In the name of our ancestors, in honour of the Cenél nEógain, and in fidelity to the Ua Bhrolcháin lineage,
We hereby seal this Proclamation.
