Autobiography of HIRH Sovereign Prince Carl Raymond Bradley
👑 Autobiography of
HIRH Sovereign Prince Carl Raymond Bradley
Sovereign Prince of the Imperial & Royal House of Bradley–Uí Bhrolcháin
Ceann Fine of the Cenél Bhrolcháin
Ri‑Fhlaith of the Ancient Gaelic Line
I. My Origins and Identity
I was born 29 May 1964, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, the eldest of six children. Though my birthplace was American, my identity was shaped from childhood by the knowledge that I carried the blood of two ancient houses:
-
The Gaelic princely line of the Cenél Bhrolcháin, a branch of the Northern Uí Néill
-
The German noble House of Förnbacher, through my mother, HRH Princess Consort Christine Rosemary Förnbacher
From these two streams—Gaelic and German—my life has always been a bridge between ancient lineage and modern service.
I was raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in the Roman Catholic faith, which has remained the moral and spiritual compass of my life.
II. My Life of Service
Service has defined me more than any title ever could.
As a young man, I entered the United States Army, becoming a paratrooper and later a Ranger‑qualified infantry instructor. The discipline, hardship, and brotherhood of military life shaped my character and taught me the meaning of duty.
After my military service, I devoted myself to emergency services—as a firefighter, EMT, dispatcher, fire police officer, and structural collapse technician. I served not for recognition, but because I believed that a life has value only when it is spent in service to others.
I later earned a Doctorate in the Philosophy of Religious Beliefs, specializing in Conscious Business Ethics, deepening my understanding of leadership, morality, and the responsibilities of those who guide others.
III. My Marriage and Family
In 1986, I married Princess Consort Elke Petra Scherlein, a noblewoman of the Bavarian Uradel. Her strength, dignity, and unwavering loyalty have been the foundation of our family.
Together we raised three children:
-
Princess Christina Elisabeth‑Ann – my heir
-
Prince Patrick Ryan
-
Prince Shawn Michael‑Christopher
Through them, the House of Bradley continues into its next generation.
IV. My Role as Sovereign Prince
On 29 June 2024, I formally assumed my role as Sovereign Prince of the Imperial & Royal House of Bradley–Uí Bhrolcháin.
My sovereignty is cultural, historical, and genealogical—not political. I claim no territory, no throne, and no temporal authority. Instead, I serve as:
-
Custodian of my House’s heritage
-
Guardian of its genealogical and heraldic traditions
-
Ceann Fine (Head of the Name) of the Cenél Bhrolcháin
-
Ri‑Fhlaith, a title of honor rooted in ancient Gaelic custom
My mission is simple: To preserve the legacy entrusted to me, and to pass it forward with integrity.
V. My Philosophy and Purpose
I have lived my life by a simple creed:
“One God, One Land, One People, One Family.”
I believe that nobility is not a matter of privilege, but of responsibility. A sovereign is not defined by crowns or ceremony, but by:
-
Service
-
Faith
-
Honor
-
Stewardship
-
Duty to family and lineage
My life has been a journey from the battlefields of military training, to the front lines of emergency service, to the quiet work of preserving a thousand‑year‑old heritage.
I am not the beginning of my House, nor will I be its end. I am simply its steward, for the brief span of years God grants me.
VI. Closing Reflection
I am HIRH Sovereign Prince Carl Raymond Bradley, a man shaped by service, strengthened by faith, and bound by lineage to a House older than nations.
My life’s purpose is to ensure that the Imperial & Royal House of Bradley–Uí Bhrolcháin endures— not as a relic of the past, but as a living testament to heritage, unity, and honor.
